Tatiana Calderón will contest another season in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup with Gradient Racing and the team’s newly-acquired Ford Mustang GT3.
The Colombian driver was part of Gradient’s GT Daytona line-up in 2024 with the Acura NSX GT3 Evo22, and stays with the Austin, Texas-based team as it embarks on a new era in partnership with Ford, which debuted the Mustang last season.
Tatiana will be taking on all five rounds of the Endurance Cup, beginning with this month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, together with Joey Hand and Till Bechtolsheimer. The lineup for the #66 car at Daytona will be bolstered by Harry Tincknell, who like Hand raced the Mustang for the factory Ford Multimatic team last year.
After Daytona, Tatiana will tackle more iconic circuits and events across North America as part of her Endurance Cup campaign, with the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring following in March. Visits to Watkins Glen and Indianapolis Motor Speedway come next, before the season concludes with the famous Motul Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta in October.
After a character-building 2024 season that featured some promising runs, Tatiana is hoping to make an immediate impact at Daytona in what will be her third Rolex 24 outing following her 2020 debut for GEAR Racing and last year’s running with Gradient. With fast and experienced teammates and a proven package in the Mustang GT3, all the ingredients are in place for a successful campaign.
The annual pre-event ‘Roar Before the 24’ test will be held over three days on January 17-19, before the start of official practice on Thursday January 23. The 63rd running of the Rolex 24 is due to begin at 1:40pm on Saturday January 25.
Tatiana Calderón: “I’m super excited to be returning for another opportunity to win the Rolex 24. I know we can continue to build on the experience gained with Gradient Racing in 2024, but this time driving the Ford Mustang GT3beast. We have a fantastic driver lineup with Joey, Harry and Till, and although there is a lot to learn in what will be our debut with the Mustang, I’m confident we can deliver a strong start to the year. I want to thank Karol G, la Bichota, for her continued belief in me and her support through her Foundation Con Cora and also to Rimas Sport, Wandr.studio, AVL RaceTech and Escudería Telmex.”
