Tatiana Calderón will join Carlin for the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European Championship. The Colombian female racer returns to the competitive junior championship which expects a bumper field for the 2015 season. Calderón recorded a season best finish of fifth last season and hopes to prove her potential on her return to the championship this year.
As well as racing in Formula 3 in 2014, Calderón added to her race programme by also racing in the Florida Winter Series, claiming one win in her first race weekend in Sebring. Previous to that, the Bogota driver has experience in British F3, Toyota Racing Series and Euro F3 Open Championship, following a spell in the US where she claimed podium finishes in the Star Mazda Series after graduating from a triumphant career in karting.
The 21 year-old racer has already demonstrated her talent behind the wheel to her new team. During strong winter tests in December Calderón impressed Carlin with both her feedback and pace at Valencia and Monteblanco. Calderón is now looking for a chance to prove herself in the Carlin Volkswagen-powered Dallara.

I love the team’s working atmosphere and everyone’s determination to succeed; I’m sure together with the support from Volkswagen Motorsport we will achieve great things. I’m in a great position, surrounded by great people and I want to make the most of this opportunity.”
Trevor Carlin added, “We’ve wanted Tatiana in the team for some time now and we’re delighted that everything came together this season to allow us to have her with us. She was very impressive in testing, and her determination and professionalism will really stand her in good stead for the season ahead.
